All about me, the artist: Ian Leather,

I was born in 1979 in Lancashire, whilst at School I worked for a local farmer, the first tractors I drove were a Massey Ferguson 550 as well as a John Deere 2040X-E.

Once I left school I undertook a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Agricultural Engineering at Myerscough College between 1995 and 2000. During this period I worked for several Agricultural contractors driving tractors, such as John Deere 6800 and Ford 8340.

In 2001 I undertook a new career path and started working outside of Agriculture, which is still the case today.

In 2001 I also started my own Part Time Business - Agrium Models, which specialised in producing scratch built 1/32 scale Farm Machinery models. This involved designing, creating prototypes, casting and building my creations for sale via the web and also at national shows and exhibitions. (These models are no longer available to purchase from me). In 2008 I sold the Model business and decided to channel my interest in Farm machinery through drawing and sketching. I have always had a talent with drawing from an early age and received encouraging comments from the first couple of tractors I drew on this site.

Later in 2008 I put this website together to enable other interested people to view and purchase if they wish, Prints of my sketches. Commissions are undertaken on a part time basis and are revolved around full time work and a young family. Currently commissions take up to 4 weeks from order. I’m currently working on some more Special Editions.

I hope you find my website of interest, if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to give me a ring
or send me an e-mail. Thanks.

Ian

If you like this website and ever wonder how to get it done, or how much to pay. Book yourself on a web course for beginners at your local Adult college or Night school and do it yourself. By doing this I have saved an absolute fortune in design fees and enjoyed myself as I have done it.
